Dan Bruggeman, an artist based in St. Paul, Minnesota for nearly thirty years, works within the landscape tradition. His art bridges the gap between art, science, and history, exploring the complex relationships humans have with their natural environment by incorporating elements from both the aesthetic and natural worlds.
"The small vignettes that I present aspire to be subtle, engaging and even a little humorous. They are an imaginative and perhaps irrational effort to propose the re-introduction of native elements to our environment."
